After receiving unprecedented response in our ‘Andhra Family Camp 2004’, SiliconAndhra is continuing with the tradition of 'Andhra Family Camp' this year from May 6th - 8th 2005. The camp is located in the beautiful mountains At Camp Jones Gulch . Spending two nights with family and friends at the camp will be a rejuvenating experience. As always, our team is working very hard to make this camp a memorable one for all. The camp accommodates about 400 people in 32 heated wooden cabins/cottages.

What to Bring
It is best to be prepared for all kinds of weather at camp. Layering is the best way to be prepared for the changing temperatures. The following is a suggested list of items to bring to camp. Remember that camp is a great place to wear old, comfortable clothing. Your self , your child or parents will be outside in quite a few occasions , please pack warmer clothing . It is not uncommon that campers have missing clothing and personal belongings when they arrive. In an effort to get everyone home with what they came to camp with, please mark all of your camper’s belongings with their name. Any unclaimed items will be held until the end of the subsequent week, after which they will be donated to charity. The SiliconAndhra or YMCA is not responsible for lost or damaged articles.
Don’t forget to bring your bedding(pillow,sheet and comforter). Camp provide only beds with thin mattress.

Francisco area:
Take Interstate 280
South (toward San Jose). Go approximately 18 miles and take the Woodside Road
exit (State Highway 84) west toward Woodside. Take a right at the end of the
exit ramp onto Woodside Road. Stay on this road through the towns of Woodside
and Sky Londa. Go past the town of La Honda 1 mile and take a left at Pescadero
Road and follow signs to YMCA Camp Jones Gulch. The camp will be on your left,
about 4 miles down Pescadero Road. Turn left onto Jones Gulch road and follow
it to the administration building.
Directions from the San
Jose area:

reception or service at Camp Jones Gulch. Pay phones are located onsite for

AT
1.
For the consideration of
all the other campers and staff here at the Gulch, quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m.
2. Your safety is our number one concern. In case of an
emergency (fire, earthquake, etc...) everyone is to assemble in the grassy ball field
in North Tolowa. This way we take a head count and make sure you're
OK.

The Gulch is a family
campsite, in keeping with the family ideals; the use of alcoholic beverages
has been prohibited on campgrounds. !
4.
If you are a smoker, we
have designated smoking areas just for you behind the Main Dining Hall Fire
place. We do ask that you refrain from smoking anywhere else in the
camp.
5. As you may know, this is an environmental center. You
can help us keep it looking clean and fresh for the wildlife that reside here
by throwing your trash in receptacles. Also, recycling bins have been
placed around camp for your convenience. I
6. Because you are sharing the camp with others, we ask
that you use only the facilities assigned to your group.
7. Parking- To avoid confusion and for your safety, there
are designated parking areas around camp. If you have questions, please contact
the office. lt is important that the camp roads are kept clean in case
emergency vehicles need to get through.
8. Please do not hesitate to tell us about any
maintenance problems that might come up during your stay. We apologize for
any inconvenience that these may cause you and we'll do our best to correct the
situation immediately. !
9. For your convenience, there are pay phones located at
the Dinning Hall, Wasiata Headquarters (Randolph Lodge) and the Administration
Building.
10. Trail Maps are available from the camp office. For
your safety we suggest that you don’t hike alone and that you stay on the
trails. Also, keep an eye out for
poison oak and stinging nettles.
11.
Serving you the best
food possible is something we continually strive for. Punctuality is
important; otherwise the food may become cold or even be gone if you show
up late.
12. No pets are
to be brought into camp,
13. Firearms or other weapons are not allowed
14. Groups are responsible for the supervision and conduct
of their members at all times. The group shall compensate damages caused to the
camp.
ALL FEDERAL, STATE, AND COUNTY LAWS AND REGULATIONS
WILL BE ENFORCED. THE CAMP WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE IF CAMPERS CHOOSE TO DEVIATE
FROM THESE LAWS.
Q: I have an Infant kid. Is the milk provided?
A: Yes. We are making arrangements for microwaves and round the clock milk for Infants.
Q: Are the cabins heated?
A: Yes. All the cabins are heated
Q: Is the food provided?
A: yes. Breakfast, Lunch, Snack and Dinner are provided as per the camp schedule.
Q: Where is the nearest town?
A: Nearest town is La Honda, which is approx. 5 miles away.
Q: Do I need to bring the basic first aid and medication?
A: Yes. Although we are making arrangements, we recommend that you bring the basic medication and first-aid such as band aids, Tylenol, cold medication etc.
Q: Is there wild life on the camp?
A: Yes. Birds, Deer, and Raccoon are common sights
Q: Is there a convenient store at the camp?
A: No. There is no store at camp. SiliconAndhra will be selling few needy items at nominal price at ‘Buddy Kottu”
Q: Can I use my cell phone at the camp?
A: No cell phone work at the camp. You need to use pay phones at the camp.
